Longer here than in most places, and we plan for it. The morning marine layer keeps indoor humidity up, and most of these harbor-side buildings from the 1960s through the 80s have no attic ductwork or whole-house air handler to move air through bedrooms and hallways. We use a strong extraction pass to pull as much moisture out as possible up front, then set air movers and ask you to run the bathroom fan and keep interior doors open. In a closed unit with the balcony door shut, expect it to feel dry to the touch well before it's fully dry underneath. If you're heading out on the boat for the day, that's fine, just leave the fans running if we've left any.

Yes, but the order of work matters. Wet cleaning alone will move it around, so we dry-vacuum thoroughly first, in more than one direction, before any moisture goes down. On carpet laid directly over a concrete slab or podium deck there's no subfloor cavity for grit to fall into, so what's in the pile is what we have to remove.

Same-day happens when there's an opening, and it's most likely early in the week. Marina Del Rey adds a wrinkle: many of these towers require you to reserve the service elevator and check in with the front desk or building management, and that can't always be arranged on a few hours' notice. If your building needs a certificate of insurance on file or has set service hours, tell us when you call and we'll work around it.
